Trauma hurts, and every child and family copes with it differently. This February, the annual Faces of Trauma event took an up-close look at different perspectives on how trauma can affect a person, family, and community.

Youth United and Youth MOVE hosted the event, bringing together community members, clients and staff. Kevin Fischer, Executive Director for NAMI Michigan, moderated a panel discussion and then engaged in a conversation about trauma statistics and therapy with special guest Dr. John Baugh, psychiatrist at The Children’s Center.

Each table provided trauma and mental health resources along with youth involvement activities. Your support is what allowed 50 people to attend this event that shed light on an important issue no child should ever have to face. Thank you for making trauma informed care a priority.
