Thanks for the Love, GM!
Valentine’s Day is about spreading the love, and we sure felt it here at The Children’s Center. Our friends from General Motors volunteered to make Valentine’s crafts with kids aged two to six, from our Autism program.
Twenty one kids, seventeen volunteers and several of our behavior technicians had a blast making hand-painted cards decorated with stickers. They also read Pete the Cat – Valentine’s Day is Cool and Lilly’s Chocolate Heart, and sang silly songs to celebrate the day.
Chocolate goodies satisfied our kids’ sweet tooth and everyone left with big smiles and happy hearts. Thanks, GM, for making our kids’ day.
