    biography

Desiree Jennings is a consummate professional passionate about data and about service. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Business, her educational endeavors have provided the right blend to support her love for the truth of data and complexity of serving in the human service sector. She strongly believes that an organization’s mission cannot truly be driven forward to its full purpose without the thread of data analytics and connecting those numbers to the lives of the children and families being served.

Currently, Desiree serves as the Chief Sustainability & People Officer. She coordinates the agency’s strategic planning process and takes the lead on the monitoring of progress and results of the Plan. Over the past two years, she took on a new role overseeing compliance at The Children’s Center where she led the organization in their reaccreditation with Council on Accreditation (COA). Additionally, she established collaborative relationships with the service areas of the organization, formulating consistent forums to review output and outcome data to identify quality improvement initiatives focusing on the mission to “Help Children & Families Shape Their Own Future.” She’s an avid promoter of Data Driven Decision Making.

Desiree serves as a Board Member of MacDowell Preparatory Academy in Detroit and volunteers her expertise to other nonprofits looking to make an impact in Detroit and its surrounding areas.
