Many families rely on the daily free meals provided at school and The Children’s Center. With schools and our campus closed, families are struggling to keep their children fed. The Children’s Center is working to get every family connected to food banks and community resources but this continues to be a challenge.
Two local small business owners, Anuja from Anuja Tolia Jewelry and Laura from Ferne Boutique felt called to help our families struggling with the challenge to keep food on their tables. On Saturday, May 9 the pair provided 80 healthy boxed lunches from The Kitchen by Cooking With Q to our children and families. Anuja and Laura, small business owners themselves, wanted to make sure they supported another local, woman owned, business while providing healthy, well balanced meals.
