Young Adult Self Sufficiency

Young Adult Self-Sufficiency

YASS gives youth ages 16–21 the skills, support, and guidance they need to succeed after foster care.

With mentorship, life skills training, and resources, young adults can build stable, independent, and hopeful futures.

Why YASS Matters

Every year, thousands of young adults leave foster care with no safety net, guidance, or support. Many face homelessness, struggle to find work, and lack the skills to live independently. Without help, their chances of a stable, successful future are slim.

YASS (Young Adult Self-Sufficiency) changes that. With life skills training, mentorship, and essential resources, young adults gain the tools, confidence, and support they need to build a safe, independent, and hopeful life.
