A Supportive Hub for Families

The Tau Beta Family Success Center offers children and families a safe, welcoming place to learn, access essential resources, and feel supported. From enrichment programs to free clothing and pantry items, we help families build stability and move toward brighter futures.

Programs for Children, Parents, and Caregivers

Our center offers educational, creative, and community-based programs that support families, encourage positive parenting, and create a safe, nurturing place for children to grow.

Discover how creativity can support your emotional well-being. Guided by a licensed art therapist, participants of all ages use art to express emotions, ease stress, and build confidence in a safe, supportive environment. No art experience required.

Self-pay: $85 per 60-minute session

A mentoring and enrichment program for young men ages 10 to 15, focused on building confidence, setting goals, and developing a strong sense of identity through guided activities and supportive relationships.

A dedicated space for fathers and male caregivers to build skills, strengthen relationships, and support one another.

Youth ages 8 to 11 explore computers and basic coding through hands-on projects and beginner-friendly tools. The program builds creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence.

A welcoming space for caregivers and children to connect, play, and learn together. Families enjoy art, games, computers, video games, LEGOs, and more in a relaxed environment.

This is not a drop-off program. Caregivers must participate alongside their child.

A welcoming space where parents and caregivers connect, share experiences, and learn new ways to support their child’s growth. Guided conversations help build resilience, strengthen relationships, and encourage self-care.

A fun, interactive reading experience with guest readers, shared storytelling, and creative activities that celebrate diversity, inclusion, and imagination.

Art sessions, STEM activities, seasonal celebrations, community dinners, and more throughout the year.

The Children’s Center is recognized by Children Trust Michigan as a Verified Prevention Partner, reflecting our commitment to preventing child abuse and neglect by strengthening families and supporting safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children.

Essential Items for Families Receiving Services

These items—including clothing, food, and household essentials—are freely available to families enrolled in programs at The Children’s Center.

Hours of Operation:

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday: 12:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Free Clothing for Families

Our Clothing Boutique offers children and caregivers receiving services through The Children’s Center free access to new and gently used clothing. Families are welcome to visit during open hours to choose items that help them feel comfortable, confident, and ready for everyday life.

Items We Provide (new and gently used):

Children’s clothing
Adult clothing
Coats, hats, gloves
Shoes
New socks and new underwear

Pantry Support for Daily Needs

Families receiving services through The Children’s Center can access nonperishable food, hygiene items, and household essentials to help ease financial stress and ensure stability at home.
