The team joined us on campus to learn about our mission while assembling candy bags and canvas totes for our Trunk-or-Treat kiddos. They even got to see their impact firsthand by hosting a trunk at the event! 🎃

At our annual Health & Wellness Fair, Vision To Learn and Ford Philanthropy brought their mobile vision clinic to provide free eye exams and prescription glasses to children and families in our community.
Last week, one family returned to The Children’s Center to pick up their brand-new glasses, made just for them with their updated prescriptions!
Thanks to this incredible partnership, children in our community are getting the vision care they need, at absolutely no cost to their families.

Our President & CEO, Desiree Jennings, joined former Vice President Kamala Harris and Abdul El-Sayed for a roundtable discussion in Detroit focused on maternal health and the support mothers and families need.
When asked what families need after a child is born, Desiree shared how access to behavioral health services, transportation, nutritious food, and other essential resources can make a lasting difference for families.
At The Children`s Center, we know that supporting children means supporting the whole family. Through our behavioral health services and community-based programs, we work to help families overcome barriers and access the resources they need to thrive.
Her message reinforces what drives our work every day: helping children and families access the support they need to shape their own futures.

We’re proud to share that our President & CEO, Desiree Jennings, has been selected to join the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Leadership Detroit Class 47!
For more than 40 years, Leadership Detroit has brought together leaders from across Southeast Michigan to deepen their understanding of the region, build meaningful connections, and drive positive change.
Through this nine-month experience, Desiree will join more than 75 business and community leaders representing organizations across the region. We’re excited for the perspectives, connections, and insights she’ll bring back to The Children’s Center as we continue helping children and families shape their own futures.
