Parents, guardians, and caregivers of children served by The Children’s Center are welcome to join the Consumer Advisory Council. Your insight and perspective help ensure programs meet the real needs of families like yours.
What is the Council?
The Council is a family-centered, collaborative group. Members share feedback, offer ideas, and partner with The Children’s Center to improve services, strengthen programs, and make sure families have a voice in decisions that affect them.

What Members Do
Advocate for Families
Council members help elevate the voices of children and families within The Children’s Center. By sharing lived experiences and insights, members help shape policies, programs, and practices that better support families navigating care and services.
Provide Program Feedback
Members offer input and recommendations on existing and developing programs. This feedback helps ensure services remain responsive, accessible, and grounded in the real needs of families receiving care.
Support and Welcome Families
Council members help new families feel informed and supported by sharing knowledge about available resources and services. This peer-to-peer connection helps families feel less alone and more confident as they begin their journey with The Children’s Center.
Strengthen Community Awareness
Members may support outreach efforts, participate in agency initiatives, or help raise awareness about The Children’s Center within the community. Their involvement helps build trust and connection beyond our walls.

Joining is easy. Contact us to learn more or sign up for the next meeting. All parents, guardians, and caregivers of children receiving services are welcome.
Meeting Details:
Second Tuesday of each month, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
In-person with a hybrid option available.
