SUMMARY:Faces of Trauma: A Community Perspective
DESCRIPTION:Trauma affects each person in a different way\, and often when one member of a family experiences it\, the whole family is affected. Faces of Trauma is\nan event that explores the impact of trauma\, and how individuals\, families\, and communities cope with it. Light refreshments will be provided. \nAttendees will have the opportunity to\n\nHear from panelists representing Kim Worthy’s office\, the Fatherhood Initiative\, Consumer Advisory Council and The Children’s Centers\nChild Welfare department\nEngage in a group art project that will reflect community connectedness and resiliency\n\nEvent details\nThursday\, February 1\, 2018 • 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. • Building 79\, Rooms A\, B\, C \nR.S.V.P. to attend\nPamela Kelly\, pkelly@thechildrenscenter.com\, 313.262.1227 \nThis program is recommended for adults and children ages 13 and up.
