This pandemic has been hard on everyone. Detroit children and families are no exception. Isolation, fear, loss and uncertainty are compounded for children and families dealing with mental and behavioral health challenges, trauma and poverty. It can leave them feeling hopeless and alone. At The Children’s Center, we believe there are better days ahead for all of us.

On Tuesday, May 11th, 2021, we are holding our annual Power of Possibilities breakfast. Since 2004 the event has raised more than $5.4M in unrestricted contributions to help give Detroit children better days ahead.
The Power of Possibilities fundraising breakfast, presented by Ford Motor Company, is virtual, free, and open to the public.

A Little Giving History
Traditionally held at premier downtown Detroit venues, this event attracts more than 700 community, business, and civic leaders each year. At the inaugural event, The Children’s Center launched its Village of Giving Circle. Now, more than 200 members belong to this circle, each pledging a minimum of $1,000 per year for five years. However, all gift levels are welcomed and add up to make a big difference.
