DESCRIPTION:\n  \n2014 Power of Possibilities Breakfast\n  \nChanging Lives Through our Annual Fundraising Breakfast\nOn May 15th\, our annual Power of Possibilities Breakfast will celebrate its 10th anniversary. It’s an event we hold close to our hearts for many reasons. Since 2004\, the event has raised more than $3M in unrestricted contributions to help us continue our mission. \n  \nEmpowering Detroit Children Through Your Donations\nThe event\, presented by Ford Motor Company\, is free to attend. It’s an inspiring one-hour program with a free-will donation opportunity at the end. \n  \n \n\nA Little Giving History\nHeld at The Westin Book Cadillac in downtown Detroit\, the event attracts more than 500 community business and civic leaders each year. At the inaugural event\, The Children’s Center launched its Village of Giving Circle. Now\, more than 100 members belong to this circle\, each pledging a minimum of $1\,000 per year for five years. \n  \nWhat’s in Store at This Year’s Breakfast\nThis year’s event theme is “Future Starts Here.” We believe that when you heal children\, you heal Detroit–opening the door to a brighter\, bolder future. At this year’s program\, you’ll learn how you can help us in our mission to champion the possibilities within every child–turning fear into courage\, brokenness into bravery and trauma into triumph. \n  \nJoin Us in Making a Difference in Detroit\nThe Power of Possibilities fundraising breakfast is free and open to the public.
