Doug Rich has more than twenty years of executive level healthcare experience in hospitals, health systems, physician organizations, and health plans.  Since April 2006, he is the Vice President, Physician Recruitment and Business Development for St. John Health System. 

Prior roles include:

• Chief Executive and Financial Officer, Oakland Physician Network Services; An independent physician association of more than 430 physicians in Oakland County
• Regional Director, West Michigan for Trinity Health Plans, a member of Trinity Health; with Care Choices HMO and Preferred Choices PPO products;
• Vice President and Executive Director for PhyCor Management Corporation of Michigan; a for-profit physician practice management company; and previously
• Henry Ford Health System for over twelve years with several of roles in hospital administration, group practice management, and managed care.

Doug received his Masters Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1983, and his Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo in 1977; He has been a board member and officer with the Children’s Center since 1995, and has served as Board President since 2005.  He also was a board member in the Behavioral Health Professionals, Inc. joint venture from 2002 - 2005.  Doug, his wife of 27 years, and their daughter live in Pleasant Ridge.
