POSITION: Systems of Care Coordinator
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Systems of Care
STATUS: 40 hours
REQUIREMENTS:  MA/MSW or related degree in mental health from an accredited school and appropriate State of Michigan licensure required. Must have a minimum of five (5) years recent experience in mental health/human services field. A complete understanding and knowledge of current federal, state, and local statues relating to the delivery of services to children and families will be essential. Must have knowledge of Systems of Care philosophy and principles. Must be knowledgeable and have an understanding of the Mental Health Code. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of computer programs including MS Office and dedicated software systems, experience with CMHC software system preferable. POSITION: Clinician
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Future Directions
STATUS: 40 hours
REQUIREMENTS:  MA, MSW, MS (psychology, social work, child development, or human services field with appropriate MI Licensure). Minimum one to two years working with the juvenile justice system and/or foster care system. Good assessment/diagnostic skills. Working therapeutically with families and children ages 7 to 18 years of age that are involved in the juvenile justice system. POSITION: Clinician
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Mentally Emotionally Impaired/P.L.A.Y.
STATUS: 40 hours
REQUIREMENTS:  MMA, MSW, MS (psychology, social work, child development or human service fields with appropriate State of MI Licensure.) Certification/Training in P.L.A.Y. project model. Minimum one to two years clinical experience with emotionally impaired and/or mentally impaired children and their families. Good assessment/diagnostic/treatment planning skills. Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team. Valid Michigan driver’s license and clear driving record. Conduct intake and initial comprehensive assessment as assigned within Designated time frames. Provide a variety of services to assigned caseload, such as individual, family, group therapy, case consultation, advocacy, crisis intervention, referral for short-term and long-term hospitalization, etc. As a primary therapist, coordinate and monitor delivery of prescribed services and implementation of behaviorally specific treatment goals and objectives for assigned clients. Utilize the ICD-9 and DSM-IV to determine diagnosis. Develop a Person/Family Centered treatment plan. (Deadline for submitting applications for this position is 03/18/10)

POSITION: Child Welfare Coordinator (Supervisor)
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Child Welfare Services
STATUS: 40 hours
REQUIREMENTS:  Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or curriculum where 25% of the course credit earned is in the human service /behavioral science. Must be licensed through State of Michigan. Four years experience as a social worker, two years of which shall have been in an agency. Able to maintain cooperative relationships with staff, clients, advisory committees, contractors, funding sources, and community resources. Able to give staff directives, that assures the safety and well-being of children within the foster care program. Highly proficient oral and written communication skills, with the ability to critique additional written materials submitted by staff. Knowledge of foster care system in the State of Michigan preferable, or knowledge of the Child Welfare system. Needs to have clinical experience. REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Services related field, or where 25% of the course credit earned is in the human services field. Experience in foster care case work desirable but not required. Preferred knowledge or experience in working with the agency’s target population; knowledge of social problems and concerns common to the target group; and experience working in a community setting. STATUS: 25 hours
REQUIREMENTS:  Associates degree in Finance or Accounting required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance field required. A/P filing, mailing, month-end support, cash receipt application, bank reconciliations, other various financial duties. Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form. Must be task oriented and will need to adhere to timelines by meeting or exceeding expectation. Flexibility in hours and days available for scheduled work. Must have good knowledge of computer systems and efficient at data entry. Basic knowledge of general office procedures. Must demonstrate the ability to work and foster a team environment. Responsible for the management and supervision of Foster Care/Young Adult Self-Sufficiency Specialists and support staff as appropriate. Ensuring that service delivery is performed according to the organization’s mission, policies and procedures and service philosophy. Able to give staff directives, that assures the safety and well-being of children within the Independent Living. POSITION: Foster Care Specialist
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Child Welfare Services
STATUS: 40 hours
REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Services related field, or where 25% of the course credit earned is in the human services field. Experience in foster care case work desirable but not required. Preferred knowledge or experience in working with the agency’s target population; knowledge of social problems and concerns common to the target group; and experience working in a community setting. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Must have an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with clients, their families, foster care parents, DHS personnel and department team members. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Master’s Degree preferred. Certified by the State of Michigan. Minimum four (4) years previous experience working with adolescents, with Bachelors, or two years’ with Master’s. Ability to operate with minimal direct supervision. Advanced ability to utilize assessment, problem identification, diagnostic, and treatment techniques with individuals, families and groups. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a clear driving record. Able to work with a variety of systems and resources. Good written and verbal skills. Possess the ability to assess individual, interpersonal, family, and environmental stressors to determine how they contribute to mental health problems and academic difficulties for children. Provide intensive individual and family therapy and regularly consult with case manager and treating psychiatrist. Able to work in independent and team modes. Knowledge of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and/or working with children and adolescents who present with a serious emotional disturbance utilizing the DSM-IV.
