POSITION: Clinician
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Home-Based
STATUS: 40
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Human Services. Licensed in the State of Michigan.
Minimum of two years experience in the assessment and treatment of children,
adolescents and their families. Must have reliable transportation, a valid
driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a clear driving record. Able to
work with a variety of systems and resources. Good written and verbal skills.
Possess the ability to assess individual, interpersonal, family, and
environmental stressors to determine how they contribute
to mental health problems and academic difficulties for children.
Provide intensive individual and family therapy and regularly consult with
case manager and treating psychiatrist. Develop with the client, family
members, and natural supports a person family centered approach in
formulating a treatment plan.

POSITION: Finance Clerk (Part Time)

REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree in Finance or Accounting required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance field required.
A/P filing, mailing, month-end support, cash receipt application, bank reconciliations, other various financial duties. Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form. Must be task oriented and will need to adhere to timelines by meeting or exceeding expectation. Flexibility in hours and days available for scheduled work. Must have good knowledge of computer systems and efficient at data entry. Basic knowledge of general office procedures. Must demonstrate the ability to work and foster a team environment. POSITION: Licensing Specialist
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Child Welfare Services/Licensing Services
STATUS: 40
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or related field where 25% of the course credits earned towards the degree are in a human services field. Experience working with the public and knowledge of the Foster Care System and Child Welfare. Valid driver’s license/reliable transportation. Must be extremely organized and able to follow through with paper work. Maintain ongoing recruitment efforts for Foster Home. Participate as a liaison with training coalition. Represent the Agency and the Foster Care Program in the community. Conduct initial, annual, renewal and special evaluation assessments of foster homes. Complete all procedures necessary for new intake including screening, pre-placement procedures, placements, and process respite placements. Maintain foster home files in accordance with the Bureau of Child and Adult Licensing Policies and Procedures.

POSITION: Child Welfare Coordinator (Supervisor)
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Child Welfare Services/Adoption Services

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or curriculum where 25% of the course credit earned is in the human behavioral science. Three years experience within the Child Welfare System, two of those years should be directly involved in adoption. Responsible for adoptive placement and discharge of clients within the program. Ability to delegate and oversee work assignments/reports and other paperwork. Must have completed State of MI-CWTI Adoptions Certification Training. Supervisory experience preferred. Strong computer skills. Must have reliable transportation. Good oral/written communication skills. Flexible schedule.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Excellent organizational, interpersonal

POSITION: Clinician (After-Hours Screener)
DIVISION / PROGRAM: Behavioral Health
STATUS: After-Hours
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of one year of working with children and families. Ability to assess and work within a crisis situation. Offsite Internet Access.
Masters degree in Human Services (MA., MSW.)
Current licensure qualifying for QMHP status.
Respond immediately to crisis calls after the normal business hours.
Assess the situation, calm down the person who is in crisis and suggest alternative ways to respond to the individual in crisis. To ensure the individual is safe, and stable enough to come to a scheduled appointment. Document the crisis call in the MISTICC system and report the outcome.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice,
Human Services related field. 4 yrs. experience in foster care/child welfare
case work required. At least 4yrs. supervisory experience with excellent
written skills. Provide supervision of supervisory staff to ensure quality service
of delivery in accordance with established agency and governmental
policies/procedures. Participate in program planning and goal setting with
program director. Remain current of changes related to the Child Welfare
system. Provide statistical reports as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Human Services field with 3 years experience in assessment and treatment of children and families. Supervisory experience required. Clinical experience with birth to children 6 years of age and their families. Knowledge of infant-child development, parent-infant attachment, family relationships and substance abuse, desired. Must be CAFAS trained/IMH Certification –Level II or above. Maintain an employee file with documentation of supervisor sessions to include case consultation notes. Assist assigned clinicians in providing crisis intervention and assistance to parents and family members for children who decompensate and may require emergency psychiatric/medical hospitalization and or intensive crisis residential placement. Assess and provide client service management to all Children’s Center clients and their families who are recipients of mental health Services and are in need of case management services. Able to maintain cooperative relationships with staff, clients, advisory committees, contractors, funding sources, and community resources. Able to give staff directives, that assures the safety and well-being of children within the foster care program. Highly proficient oral and written communication skills, with the ability to critique additional written materials submitted by staff. Knowledge of foster care system in the State of Michigan preferable, or knowledge of the Child Welfare system. Needs to have clinical experience.

Preferred knowledge or experience in working with the agency’s target population; knowledge of social problems and concerns common to the target group; and experience working in a community setting. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Must have an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with clients, their families, foster care parents, DHS personnel and department team members.
