The Brighter Birthday Club is a way to help children in challenging circumstances have a happy birthday too!

Foster children, mentally/emotionally challenged children and children at-risk, many times do not have a Happy Birthday and may feel forgotten and lonely. This is a way to show children in these situations that they are not forgotten.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Sponsor a Child's Gift

We estimate 50-60 children per month have the need for our service, so we need to keep in supply a variety of new toys and gift wrap supplies for their special day. We accept all new gifts and toys, or gift cards from these selected merchants. We also need $20 gift cards to give to teens so they can purchase items most needed. Many times they use the money to purchase undergarments or school supplies and sometimes a music CD or other fun items.

Have Your Own Party

Instead of receiving personal gifts at their own birthday party, the birthday person (child, teenager or adult) encourages guests to bring items for the children served by The Children's Center.

You will receive a card from The Children's Center with children's birthday wishes, which can be enclosed in your invitations. Your party guests will bring one (or more) gifts for the children we serve.

After your party, you bring the gifts to the agency and these gifts are distributed by the agency to the children.

Sponsor a Monthly Group Party

Become part or our children's lives by hosting their birthday party. Each month we hold a party for every child who is our client that was born that month. Each child attending the party will also be invited to share cake receive party favors, play games and win prizes. The birthday children will receive their gift at another time so there is no need to purchase gifts.

Your company, group or organization representative will receive a Birthday Party Planner Guide to give information and details on how to plan the party.

Your fellow members or co-workers are invited to join us for the sponsored celebration. This is a great volunteer opportunity.

Make Birthday Cards

We are looking for those creative people out there who are into stamping, or other craft, and would like to make 50-60 cards per month and send them to us so we can present them to our clients for their special day. They don't have to be real fancy, but should be special. This might be a great craft idea for a church or youth project to participate in.
